A sleeping system built for field use
In August 2022, together with the volunteer fund Riy, we developed the RiyMSS military sleeping system for soldiers serving on the front lines.
Designed around real field experience, the system combined a waterproof bivy cover with lightweight sleeping gear that could be quickly opened when movement was required. Feedback from soldiers helped us refine the design, and in 2023 we introduced an updated version in two sizes.
We studied existing military sleep systems and combined proven ideas with feedback from Ukrainian soldiers and experienced hikers.
The first days of the full-scale invasion
On February 24, 2022, we transferred the synthetic sleeping bags we had in stock to local Territorial Defense units. Lightweight and compact sleeping gear was urgently needed, especially by units that had to remain mobile.
From the first days of the full-scale invasion, part of our production and available stock was redirected to support Ukraine’s defenders.
Support through production
In the early months of the invasion, donations from our community and part of the proceeds from ROCK FRONT products helped provide additional equipment for Ukrainian defenders.
Support that continues
Our support did not end with the first months of the war. Ukrainian service members, veterans, volunteers, and rescue workers continue to receive special conditions on ROCK FRONT outdoor gear.
We hope our equipment can support them not only during demanding work, but also when they return to the mountains and trails to rest and recover.
